I think he did his business and evaded her.  Good job.

The big one behind the address plate has found a mate.  I wonder if she’ll eat him when they’re done.  It is amazing how they can always find each other.

One of the Black Widows is now so big it can’t fit under the address plate anymore.

I suspect that there is a third Black Widow living inside the duct that allows our dryer air to escape outside.  That would mean that there are three Black Widows living in our outside doorway area.  Shit.

This insect waits motionless for its prey, and then grasps its prey with its forearms and slowly eats its prey alive.  Can you possibly imagine a worse way to fucking die?  Can you imagine that?

I have discovered another Black Widow Spider in our front walkway.  There are now two calling this place home.  The new one is significantly larger than the already existing resident.  These two could very well be the ones I removed at 6AM on New Year’s Day.  They are beautiful and horrifying at once.  I wonder if one of their bites might kill me.  Probably not me.

Waiting until last night to catch a glimpse of the black widow as she came out from behind our address plate, I say a mosquito had gotten in the apartment after I had closed the door.  I tried to smash him, but missed for some reason.  After losing sight of the bastard, I thought it was certain that he was going to feast on me that night.  Mosquitos always do.  I think that I must have sweet blood.  Sure enough, I was bitten at least once.  I tried to turn all the house fans on to fritter the carbon dioxide coming from the bedroom, but he won the battle.  I was affronted.  All this aside, the immature black widow is developing nicely.

Black Widows are everywhere in Orlando.  I had to extract two giants from their separate webs a few feet away from each other at 6 a.m. in our walkway on New Year’s Day.  I can see the legs of one now coming out from under our address plate.  They have taken over this town.  I have yet to be bitten.  Think of how horrifying they might look up close.  Multiply it by a thousand.  Be happy if you haven’t had to deal with one before.
